Music school has changed history
By Robert Tukamuhabwa Nyundo as a school of music and arts has been changing life of many people both mentally, physically, financially, and economically. The school started at Rubavu in2014 before moving to Muhanga.
Nyundo music school started on 14th, march,2014. This school is belonging to Rwanda polytechnic institute and this school was initiated in the way of developing music sector and strengthening student’s knowledge capacity.
In 2014 Government of Rwanda chosen to initiate polytechnic institute in music, now this school has been increasing skills of students within eight years from when it was initiated, and some has become famous. On 17th march, 2017 the first finalists from this school was graduated even though they started 30 students and only 29 students completed.
These finalists came on job market. Including Igor Mabano,Symphony Band( Symphony started in November 2015 under influence of Kamayirese Erasme who was of Sebeya Band, now he is teaching at Muhanga music school.),Kevin Kadem Yvan Mpano,Yvery,Kalingombe,Aliel Wayz,Bill Ruzima and Kenny Sol. Before the publish of first finalists on music market, every artist was required to bring his/her owner Band. Now this has become record because people will read books and others watch television.
This school teaches different fields like use of Piano, sounding drums, using different types of Guitar, purifying voices when they are singing, writing songs, Traditional dance, singing in choirs, Languages like English, France and organizing their creatures. Before every artist who wanted to sing had to bring his ower facilitators and materials. Today there are experienced team (Symphon Band) there are materials (sound, stage among others needed) helps every artist who comes in Rwanda.
Art Rwanda, this is competition which takes place every year. This competition was started under influence of Ministry of Youth together with Imbuto foundation, Rwandan conference of Language and culture(RALC) UNDP,KOICA are also partners.
On 15th, December,2018 in Kigali Convention center, the ceremony of Art Rwanda was concluded there, which had spent four months looking for personal talents and those who performed well awarded. On 1st, April 2022, there were strong ceremony in Kigali culture village while first Art Rwanda activities were concluded, there were many people from different classes celebrating what artists achieved. Artistes included: singing, writing books,drawing, dramas etc.
