AFRIMMA 2021: Adekunle Gold who previously performed at Kigali city, he and his wife, Simi came up with novelty in awards
Adekunle Gold and his wife wrote history in AFRIMMA where Adekunle awarded Best Male West Africa and his wife awarded Best Female West Africa consecutively as last year she handed it up and this year took it again.
Nigerian superstars involved in love for a long time who are Adekunle Gold and Simi met with a chance last night in annual musical awards of AFRIMMA at US of America, were both awarded the same award differentiated by sex: Adekunle awarded “Best Male West Africa” and Simi awarded” Best Female West Africa.” Those awards of AFRIMMA (African Musik Magazines Awards) were started to be given in 2014 they(awards) are delivered annually. Given awards of last night on 12 December 2021, were delivered by using the technological system.
Adekunle Gold who is popularly known as Ag Baby awarded this award after defeating western superstars like Davido(Nigeria), Rema(Nigeria), Burna Boy(Nigeria), Wally Seck( Senegal), Sarkodie( Ghana).
His wife known as Simi she also defeated western female artists who are trending physically. Those defeated female artists are Adina( Ghana), Tiwa Savage( Nigeria), Zeynab Habib( Benin), Yasmine( Guinea Bissau), Dior Mbaye( Senegal), Mzvee (Ghana), and Terms( Nigeria).
Adekunle Gold and Simi felt their love for a long time. But on 9th January 2019, they executed it and made marriage. They gave birth to a young girl who is called Adejare Kasoko and she is aged one year old.
It is the second time awarded this award where she also handed up last year's award in this category of Best Female West Africa. Last year, she defeated western artists like Tiwa Savage( Nigeria), Yemi Alade(Nigeria), Zeynab(Ghana), Yasmine( Guinea Bissau), Dior Mbaye(Senegal), Adina ( Ghana), Teni(Nigeria), and Aya Nakamura (Mali).
It is the first time Adekunle Gold awarded this award of Best Male West Africa. But he was nominated more times including last year's session.
