AFRIMMA 2021: Meddy and The Ben went arms akimbo, Diamond Platnumz won the trophy

Diamond Platinumz was one and only artist from East Africa who enabled to be awarded as Best Male of East Africa. He defeated all male artists from East Africa in annual musical awards called AFRIMMA.

He was awarded after defeating Meddy and The Ben (Rwanda), Ali Kiba (Tanzania), Gildo Kassa( Ethiopia), Eddy Kenzo ( Uganda), Khaligraph Jones (Kenya), Otile Brown (Kenya).

Diamond Platinumz handed up this award by defeating Rwandan superstars including Meddy and The Ben. Meddy was the first time nominated in this annual musical awards. The Ben whom also came back with empty hands, nominated four times and those whole frequencies he has not yet awarded any award from AFRIMMA.

Diamond Platinumz also defeated  Ugandan superstar Eddy Kenzo who is the first Ugandan artist awarded this award in 2018. He strongly defeated Kenyan rapper who awarded this award of Best Male East Africa in AFRIMMA 2019.

Diamond Platinumz continuously wrote history where he was awarded on the side of Best video of the year. It is a song collabrating; Diamond Platinumz and Fally Ipupa which is called “ Flavor." 

It defeated video songs including; “ Essence” by Wizkid and Tems, “ Bounce” by Rema, “ Sukari” by Zuchu, “Hustle” by Teni, “ Kelebe” by Rayvanny and Innoss’ B, “ Baddest Boss” by Mvzee, and “ Le Temps” by Tay C.

It was eighth time, annual musical awards of AFRIMMA delivered. It was the sixth time Diamond Platinumz awarded that award of Best Male Artist of East Africa.

Diamond Platinumz whom awarded this award, was among the artists participated in various categories. He was nominated in category of: Best Male East Africa, Artist of the Year, Best Live Act,  AFRIMMA Best Video of the year and Best Collaboration.
Those awards were given in United States of America through technological system with subject of “ Flavor of Africa.”
