Alyn Sano cut out of The Voice Afrique music contest 3rd edition

On Sunday evening, 25th April 2020, Alyn Sano was eliminated from the semi-finals and did not make it to the grand finale of The Voice Afrique Francophone music contest on its third edition and put a full stop to her dream of winning it that she had from the very beginning of the contest.

“Thank you for voting! We did not make it to the finals but I am forever grateful for your support” Alyn tweeted.

The grand finale of this big contest is scheduled for May 1st, 2021.

The Coronavirus variant in South Africa triggered organizers to shift it to Abidjan where this semi-final was held at Sofitel Abidjan Hotel Ivoire, as its resume after almost a year postponement due to the pandemic. “My Love Is Your Love” by Whitney Houston is the song that Alyn Sano performed in the semi-final of the contest.

Fans and supporters voted their favorite singers via SMS, the more the messages, the more chances to pass, and vice-versa.

In this semi-final, three contestants were judged by only one coach from all four coaches on the panel. Coaches were: Youssoupha, Hiro, Lokua Kanza and Charlotte Dipanda.

Those who made it to the semi-final were selected in auditions from the beginning of the contest where the judges had only to listen to their voices without facing them. The convincing melody had a key to getting its owner to the next phase of the contest.

The winner of this contest will be granted a cash prize and a debut single with its video.
