Huye City Complex Market traders are in deep loss

The sector of trading is facing a shortage of customers due to the  Covid 19 pandemic in Huye district especially Huye City Complex market .

Through the interviews that The facts.rw had with the traders, a lot of them discussed about the shortage of customers compared to the pre-covid 19 situation.

“You can even return home without a customer” says Jean Bosco Ishimwe, one of the traders in Huye City Complex market. He went on explaining that the issue is mainly caused by the unemployment as a consequence of covid 19 pandemic where a lot of people lost jobs.

Traders say that the supply of goods is no longer easy ever since the decision of staying in one’s district resident was applied. “Since the travel from one district to another is prohibited, supplying goods from Kigali and Muhanga is very complicated” Says Mary Uwineza, one of the traders.

However, these traders hope that the situation may change anytime as long as they keep on following the set preventive measures against Covid 19 pandemic.Whoever entering this market, must first of all wash their hands or sanitize them and get tested whether they are infected Covid 19 or not.
