The agreement aims to apply AI tools to help eliminate cervical cancer, reduce malaria cases, and improve maternal health services. Researchers and public institutions in Rwanda will receive training, advanced technology, and technical support to strengthen medical research and healthcare delivery.

The project also provides access to AI systems such as Claude, allowing scientists and developers to build new digital health solutions. Experts say the technology will help analyze medical data faster and support better decision-making in hospitals and public health programs.

Officials believe the initiative will improve public services and accelerate innovation across education and government systems. The partnership represents one of the first large-scale collaborations between an African government and an international AI research company.

The initiative highlights Rwanda’s growing investment in scientific innovation and positions the country as a leader in using advanced technology to address major health challenges.
