‘They wanted to ruin my career using alcohol ’Amag The Black

The rapper with hit songs like ‘Uruhinja’ and ‘Ikiryabarezi’ announced this via the TV show ‘TheChoicelive’ that aired on Isibo TV.

He mentioned the names of Bruce Melodie and MicoThe Best as one of the artists who wanted to see him failing music through consuming too much alcohol of which he says that he couldn’t do.

Although he condemns those for trying to ruin his career, he considers Riderman as one of the artists that helped him a lot in achieving the musical goals he accomplished so far.

Amag The Black who is promoting his next song’Intebebe’ to be released very soon, also announced that he has been a businessman since day one because he started it at the very beginning of his music career.

“I always came in the recording studio after finishing up my shopkeeping works” AmagThe Black, a rapper, said.

Like any other upcoming artist, AmagThe Black shared the hardship that he faced trying to break through the music industry at the beginning of his career.

“There were the artists whose sponsors wanted to ruin every artist’s career with the music genre” AmagThe Black speaking of his musical journey challenges.

The generation of music producers put him between rocks and hard places

Amag The Black couldn’t end the show without mentioning Lick Lick, Junior, and Fayzo whom he appoints as the ones that closed his fortune doors because they never cared about the hip hop genre instead they referred to genres like R&B more than any other genre.

He added that he was rapping about his life struggles and nobody was ready for that message due to lacking chances to air it as a consequence of never getting chances to make it to the studio with those producers who preferred R&B.

The rapper considers this as one of his challenges that limited him from doing his stuff as planned and achieving more as expected.

He says that he used to pay producers for making him a song and they decided to make that one of Meddy or The Ben instead of him regardless of his journey from Kanombe to Nyamirambo where recording studios located.

His first earning paid to him by Philpeter played a big role in his music career.

Through TheChoicelive, Amag The Black, said: “You are the one(Philpeter) that paid me my first earning of 50,000 Rwf.”

Amag The Black earned 50,000 Rwf as his first income from his music as the result of the gig recommended by Philpeter and that’s why he appreciates Riderman as one of the men behind the scene.
