Mango a telecommunication company that sells 4G internet in Rwanda, has been a trend in social media on 16th November after its marketing department employee ISIMBI Jael exposes contract termination email. Email that was informing her to stop work from 15th November and submits all company’s tools due to her health condition.
After receiving this email, ISIMBI shared this message on social media and tagged some government institutions which are in charge of work rights.
Isimbi said “tomorrow mango telecom has suspended me without 15 days of warning, how long are we “women” going to keep quiet”? after this message on Twitter, the first viewer was “MIGEPROF” ministry of gender and family promotion Asked her to write them DM and they promised to give help.
MIFOTRA, ministry public service, and labor also advised isimbi to go near of district labor service center for help where MANGO Telecom belongs. After social media pressure, mango telecom came back with a termination contract cancel letter”
